Some scenes in Quebec

I love this planters that look like giant potting pots painted red. They made a great statement in an urban park.

This fountain one many awards in France, where it was created. Then for some reason it was taken out, and found years later by a businessman from Quebec. He bought it, shipped it to Quebec, and had it installed, at a cost of millions. It is lovely, though.

The old 'lower' town is so charming -- one feels like one is in a village in France or Germany or Italy.

This flower garden that flows down in between some modern buildings is very lovely. Things like this give Quebec a wonderful feeling of an urban area with terrific pedestrian appeal.

The founder of Quebec, Champlain. His statue is right outside the Chateau le Frontenac.

A nice shopping and dining street just in the next block from the hotel.

A little old man from Florida offered to take our photo. I loved it that we look like we are on a ship that is listing!

A special exhibit of Indian tee-pees was part of a festival this weekend that we were here.
